Jailhouse Bed – 160×200 cm

Originally designed in 1993, the infamous bed has since become a true design classic—surrounded by countless thrilling stories that could be told.

At its core, however, it is simply a very good bed. The headboard and footboard come in various heights, and the bed frame is available in all standard widths. Assembly and disassembly are so straightforward that one person can easily handle it alone. The bed consists of just five elements: headboard, footboard, two side panels, and a central support beam.

It is made from hot-rolled steel with the material’s characteristic mill scale. Available either with a transparent matte seal or with a white powder-coated finish.

Once everything is screwed together (all screws and a wrench are included), the bed stands absolutely firm—no wobbling, no squeaking.

In its basic version with a frame depth of 4.5 cm, we recommend using two roll-up slatted frames (one per side) combined with a continuous mattress covering the full width of the bed.

And, to complement the design theme, it even comes with a pair of original Smith & Wesson handcuffs that can be casually hung on the headboard’s grid.
