The barber in Pfaffenhofen is for modern men who do not need everything, but only the right thing.

After some entrepreneurial experience in the free market economy, Tobias Mehr realized that he wanted to start his own business with his originally learned profession and thus continue the family tradition in the fourth generation.

As a native of Bavaria, he did not choose the capital city of Munich as the location for his business; he chose Pfaffenhofen a. d. Ilm.

He took more than a year to draw up a business plan that had been worked out down to the smallest detail and with which he succeeded in obtaining full financing without collateral or equity capital. It’s amazing that the bank was so supportive, considering that it wasn’t a proven franchise concept, but a completely individual concept that Tobias came up with all by himself.

In developing the concept, Tobias was helped by the experience he gained during the five years he worked as a hairdresser with his grandfather, as well as the insights he gained afterwards as an entrepreneur in the fields of marketing, online trade and management consulting.

He does not consider himself a traditional hairdresser and has nothing to do with the hairdressing industry in general. Tobias Mehr exclusively serves men.

In order to be able to plan and build his store, Tobias was able to get the company Kienholz*, also based in Pfaffenhofen, on board. It was important for Tobias to find a partner who understands him and with whom his ideas can be implemented. – Because he didn’t want his store to look like the next franchise barbershop or a normal hair salon.

During the design process, special attention was paid to durability. For the interior as well as for the equipment, value was placed on the best materials and rock-solid workmanship from the outset. “Once but right” was the motto so that the business premises could be used in this way for the next 20 years.

The suggestion to use Noodles Authentic Furniture for the kitchen and for the presentation of goods came from Objektbau Kienholz – and was accepted by Tobias with enthusiasm. The furniture fits perfectly with the overall look of his barber store and meets the high standards of timelessness and quality.

In order to promote the business properly, emphasis was also placed on a solid website that not only represents Da Bader in an aesthetically pleasing way, but also takes care of administrative functions such as scheduling appointments and selling gift certificates . Speaking of gift certificates: These are the absolute hit with women who are looking for a suitable gift for their man.

Due to professional marketing, Da Bader was fully booked for weeks before opening. At the moment, Tobias still runs the business alone, five days a week, Monday to Friday from 12 to 8 p.m. He is already on the lookout for another employee.

*Objektbau Kienholz has been a professional partner for well thought-out, individual and high-quality solutions in object construction since 1998.(http://www.objektbau-kienholz.de)
